Today and everyday we have an opportunity and a responsibility to change the world around us for the better. Teaching our children to value differences is not only somthing we should do with our words, but also with our actions. Being respectful and kind to everyone we encounter shows them that ALL are appreciative of respect and compassion. The youger the children are, the more kindness they will show to their peers. Little ones are VERY observant of our actions. They are learning from us every day. This seems like common sense, but I see adults everyday passing judgments on people they don't know and see the effects it has on their children. Today, we all have the opportunity to make someone's life better, even if all you did was open a door for them and smile.
